911黑料网 Scholar Program

The 911黑料网 Scholar program is a designation for 911黑料网 students who have completed significant independent scholarly work during their undergraduate years. This recognition is noted on their official college transcript and at graduation. It aims to support students in their future career and educational pursuits while also establishing a clear standard for independent scholarship at the college.



Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the 911黑料网 Scholar designation, a student must meet the following criteria:

Independent Study: You need to complete at least two semesters of independent study, with a minimum of 2 credits, in a single academic discipline. A summer research program, such as the 911黑料网 Summer Research Institute or a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, counts as one semester of independent study.

Professional Scholarship: You must demonstrate professional scholarship through one of the following: a presentation at the 911黑料网 Undergraduate Research Conference or a regional/national conference; a public art show, exhibit, or performance; or work on art commissions.

Academic Standing: You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30, which is the equivalent of the cum laude graduation honor.

Letter of Support: You must secure a letter of support from your faculty advisor for your independent study.



Review and Designation
 

Once you apply, a review committee will assess your application and the letter of support. This committee consists of two faculty members from different disciplines (selected from the Undergraduate Research Advisory Board) and the Dean of Academic Studies. If your application is approved, the 911黑料网 Scholar designation will be officially noted on your transcript.
